James Darren Cope, widower of Kathleen Banks Cope and son of James Ray Cope and Rhonda Kay Sizemore Peters was born on October 18, 1969 in Oneida, Kentucky and departed this life in Jackson, Kentucky on November 24, 2025 at the age of 56 years, 1 month, and 6 days. In addition to his mother, Rhonda Peters of Booneville, Kentucky and father, James Cope of Ashland, Kentucky , he is survived by two children, Joslyn Brook and Wesley Blaine Cope both of Booneville, Kentucky; three grandchildren, Piper Jordan Kate Taylor, Lincoln Andrew Mainous, and Cameron James Mainous; and a host of other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his wife, Kathleen Banks Cope, and one son, James Robert Cope.
Graveside service held November 29 at Cope Cemetery of Booneville. Newnam Funeral in charge of arrangements.
