Hershel Pelfrey, age 76, passed away Wednesday, July 2, 2025 at his home in Campton, KY. Hershel was born October 13, 1948 in Camptom, KY, a son to the late Shelvy and Thelma Ruth Pelfrey. He worked in healthcare, and attended the Old Time Religion Church. In his free-time he enjoyed being with his family, playing guitar, singing in church, four wheeling, listening to his radio, and music.
He is survived by his wife of 47 years; Ruby Marie Pelfrey, 1 son; Richard Pelfrey, 1 daughter; Rachelle Pelfrey, sister-in-law; Sadie Pelfrey, special cousins; Karen Ritchie, and Rodney (LaDonna) Ross, and many other loving family members and friends. Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother; David Pelfrey.
A graveside service will be held at the Ross Cemetery located in the Bear Track Community of Beatttyville, KY at a later date. The Booneville Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
