Von M. Campbell, age 77, husband of Connie Caldwell Campbell departed this life at his home in Beattyville, KY on Friday, December 5, 2025. Von was born June 21, 1948, in Booneville, KY, a son to the late Curt and Louise Campbell. He was a dual licensed Professional Engineer and Land Surveyor. He began his career in design from drafting technical school, and after many hours of hard work, and studying, he received his license. Prior to his retirement he was the Traffic Engineer Branch Manager for the Kentucky State Highway Department. After retirement he continued to operate his own private surveying company. He was a proud Veteran of the United States Marine Corps, serving in Vietnam from 1966-1968. In his free-time he enjoyed spending time at shooting matches, golfing, hunting, watching wrestling, and feeding the fish at his pond.
Along with his wife of 53 years; Connie Campbell, he is survived by his children; Marvin (Angie) Campbell, Candice (Jason) Jewell, Dustin (Linsey) Campbell, Tyler Campbell, and Michelle Green, his grandchildren; Jade (Cody) Johnson, Johnna Walker, Courtney Walker, Colby Campbell, Jake Jewell, Seth Jewell, Easton Campbell, Slayden Campbell, and Branden Green, 1 great-grandson; Theo Johnson, as well as many other loving family members and friends.
In addition to his parents; he was preceded in death by his sister; Geraldine Burch, and his daughter; Chassidy Ann Campbell.
A graveside service was held Wednesday, December 10, 2025 at the Gibson-Moore Cemetery with friend & Pastor Ray Crabtree officiating. The Booneville Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
Pallbearers; Jamie Ward, Phillip Lane, Danny Dunahoo, Gary York, Mark Epperson, Joe Schoolcraft, Tony Jones, and Reminton Capps. Honorary Pallbearers will be Ronnie Spencer, Dale Pelfrey, Dave Willer, Douglas Watts, Tony Watts, Mark Wireman, Paul David Williams, Bobby Cole, and Tim Terry.
