The Legacy Tree

The City of Booneville is partnering with local organizations, OCARE, and Partners for Rural Impact School and Family Coordinators to create a legacy tree mural/display for the new artisan pop-up area located adjacent to the Booneville Firehouse.

Between November 8-14, Partners for Rural Impact staff coordinated with high school, elementary, and Head Start staff to collect student handprints for the tree. OCHS was November 8 -10 and OCES was November 13-14.

The Legacy Tree will serve as a testament to our future, symbolizing our commitment to preserving our legacy and acknowledging Owsley County’s greatest asset – our children!
